About Us
Empowering the Youth

Abbaquar-San Dream Centre is a cultural organisation dedicated to assisting, uplifting, and rebuilding our community in Wentworth. Our work is rooted in care, belonging, and the belief that community support should be practical, consistent, and full of dignity.

Our focus is on empowering young people and supporting elders through meaningful programmes and activities. We offer youth activities including ballet, karate, dance, music lessons, and a youth programme, while continuing to build a community where families feel supported and seen.

Who We Work With

The Abbaquar-San Royal House forms an important part of the cultural foundation connected to the Dream Centre. Its leadership reflects a commitment to heritage, identity, and service within the community we are working to uplift and rebuild.

The Royal House became official through the Traditional and Khoisan Leadership Act, which came into effect on 1 April 2021 following the March announcement by President Cyril Ramaphosa. That recognition affirms the cultural grounding from which this work of community care continues.

Our Royal House leadership reflects the official recognition of our traditional authority under South African law. These leaders carry cultural heritage and spiritual guidance into the life of the Dream Centre, helping ensure our community programmes stay rooted in traditional values while responding to the present day needs of our youth and elders.

Dedicated Volunteers

Our volunteers are the backbone of our community programmes. Many work directly with young people across ballet, karate, dance, music, and other activities, offering mentorship, safety oversight, and hands on support that help create the safe, encouraging environment where our youth can grow in confidence and pursue their potential.
