Growing our food
Community Gardening Project

Community Gardening Project is youth-led and community-based. Young people plan, plant, harvest, and facilitate, gaining hands-on skills in food justice, environmental stewardship, and leadership.

01
Food justice is liberation

Food insecurity results from systemic inequity. At Community Gardening Project, we ensure systems-impacted families have access to fresh, culturally relevant, healthy food because liberation means our basic needs are met.

02
Steward the land

Land stewardship is healing work — physically, mentally, and spiritually. In the garden, we reconnect to the earth and to practices that restore our bodies and our power.

03
Rooted in community power

Community Gardening Project reconnects us to land, to each other, and to our collective capacity for transformation. This is what building power looks like — growing what we need, together.

About the Community Gardening Project

The Community Gardening Project cultivates fruits, vegetables, and herbs that nourish our community because food is a basic need, not a privilege. What we grow helps sustain our mutual aid work and community gatherings.

We create space for youth to realize their own power, confidence, and self-determination.
